It was about 2ish hours last year and that's what mapquest is saying this year. Hopefully we will get there 9-9:30 depending on traffic. I will give you a call Friday morning once we hit the northeast extension/476.

Anyone attending please email/PM me with your phone and I will do the same with mine. This way we can plan better arrival times. Thanks Very Happy

Nate, for the layout, do you want me to pack any modular (cafe corner) or creator houses? It looks like you've got the layout pretty well filled. Hopefully the wind farm has held together. If it hasn't do we have back-up filler planned?

FYI, my White Castle, Corner Bank, Insurance Building and Art Modern Movie Theater are all at my house. That's four fewer buildings for the layout, so you might want some of the Cafe Corner buildings.

Mike I think you should bring the Cafe Corner line of buildings and the creator houses.

Definitely bring any Cafe Corner buildings we have available. The layout plan can work with or without the windfarm, so that shouldn't be a problem.

6:45 is fine. I'll be there.

Well, I think I managed to catch up on my sleep last night, so now I can give my report on Railfest '11.

First, a huge thank you to everyone who helped organize and run this event! Aside from some pretty serious traffic issues getting up to Scranton on Friday, everything went off without a hitch. From what I could see, the public reaction was overwhelmingly positive, and we had more than a few people comment that they had seen the display last year and were excited to see it again.

I've uploaded my photos to flickr, so here's a link to the set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/34338074@N06/sets/72157627476469451/

We can discuss the details on Saturday but for now, thanks again to everyone involved, and I hope the rest of your long weekend is fun and relaxing!

All went well. I had a blast even with the traffic and the untimely demise of the wind farm. Great pictures Nate. Thanks for posting. Glad to see that you didn't capture my alien invasion. I don't think Rob or Brian would ever let me be in charge of downtown again if they saw that. That derailment was the most awesome one I ever saw though. Thanks for posting that KC. It's now my desktop wallpaper Very Happy
