Current licenses held by non-LEGO building toys

If you dare to turn the corner of the LEGO aisle at TRU and explore the adjacent shelves, you may discover what corners of the license-bandwagon other companies in the modular building set market-space have staked out.

For the following, I checked for copyright holders on the packaging. Why? Consider: TLG licensed the first two "Spider-Man" movies through Sony Pictures, not Marvel, and MB got the third; whereas TLG licensed "Batman" directly from Warner Bros. Also, Marvel is now owned by Disney, but that's not reflected on the packages. (Or was it? It might have been on the "Captain America" mech-figure.)

"mb" name replaced by forum software (MEGA Brands, Inc.; Canada):
Halo (Microsoft? Didn't check box)
Spider-Man (Marvel) - no particular movie cited; Marvel, not Sony Pictures
Iron Man 2 (Marvel)
Captain America: The First Avenger (Marvel)
Ni Hao, Kai Lan (Nickelodeon)
Smurfs (Peyo, I.M.P.S.; Belgium)
Hello Kitty (Sanrio; Japan)

MB has manufactured multiple minifig-scale sets for "Iron Man 2" and "Spider-Man," but other Marvel characters (Captain America, Wolverine, Spider-Man again) have appeared as part of their Bionicle-like line of oversized figures.

K'NEX (Pennsylvania):
NASCAR (previously held for an extended period by MB)
