May 2011 PennLUG Meeting

Post  Cale on Wed May 11, 2011 10:42 pm

Yes Brickmagic has been keeping us busy so the May meeting has crept up on us. Chris Edwards will be hosting this Saturday May 14th. I've sent out the email with meeting info. If any one has not received it just PM me. As always all are welcome to come.

The meeting will be starting at noon. This is an hour later than usual so Chris can instal his and Pete Morris' window display at KOP.

See you all there.

Re: May 2011 PennLUG Meeting

Post  Cale on Sun May 29, 2011 2:41 am

Hello every one.

I will be hosting the meeting for June 2nd. Any one who wants to swap LEGO war stories is welcome to attend. We're planing to have burgers and hot dogs for lunch. Since we have alot of stuff to do will try and start a bit earlier at 10am and your welcome to come earlier and help start sorting LUG Bulk parts if you dare. If you are planing to come please let me know so I know how many people to plan for and If you want to come early and help sort please let me know.

If you haven't received the email with my address please pm me.

Topics for discussion include but not limited to.

1. LUG Bulk

Our LUG Bilk order is in.

The four boxes for our 2011 LUG Bulk Order arrived at my door last week. Not as impressive in size as our booty from Jim but still a heaping 80,000 peice treasure trove of awesome. We're planing to sort the parts at the meeting. We'll have last minute preparations for Kidsfest Pittsburgh, Wizard World and Brickworld as well as some planing for Brickfair though so it will be a very busy day. I think as long as we stay focused we can get through the parts pretty quick.

I have not received the invoice yet and don't know if I'll get it before the meeting but please be prepared to pay for your parts as soon as it does come in.

2. Brickworld, Wizard World, and Kidsfest Pittsburgh

We have three simultaneous events coming up in June. Brickworld in Chicago, LEGO Kidsfest in Pittsburgh, and Wizard World in Philadelphia. We'll be discussing last minute details at the meeting. If you have any MOCs that you need transported to one of the events please bring them along so we can get them to the right places.

3. Brickfair

Brickfair is coming up sooner than you think, August 4th through 7th.

We have a lot of planing to do. We'll have our train and town layout there again this year as well as other displays. We'll need to start nailing down plans soon for this event.
