Steam Into History Inc. I'm getting a real Steam Locomotive in my back yard.
Those of you who know me well will know how fond I am of steam. So it should come as no surprise that I've been following an ongoing project to bring a Civil War era themed train complete with replica 1863 steam locomotive to York.

The people building the engine "York #17", ( Kloke Locomotive Works, LLC ) also built another similar engine recently, the Leviathan #63. You can be sure York #17 and the passenger car she'll pull are on my future build list. I'll be needing some chrome gold parts too.
Hopefully when they are operational in 2013 you all can come out and ride the train.

That's really cool. And of course, the big question is when will you build one? haha Or is that the Civil War period train you told me about that you wanted to make?
As for steam, I have to teach my 7th graders using a crappy science textbook. The one article we just did was on steam power, so we talked a little bit about trains...I showed them pictures of your stuff, too. They liked that. We also talked a little bit about the transcontinental railroad and Chinese laborers. That reminds me...The ninjago sets have those special hats...I want tons of those.

No. The Civil War engine I'm wanting to build is B&O #147 "Thatcher Perkins"

This engine pulled Union troop trains during the war. I want to build it along with several period passenger cars and a group of Union troops to go with it.
We ordered a few extra on our LUG Bulk order that will be split up and if that's not enough I could part with a few of the ones I ordered for myself.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that engine. That will look great when finished.
As for the hats, if there are any left, I would be happy to buy them. You needn't tap into your supply. Thanks.
